Welcome to The Daily Prick – the internet’s home for people and groups who have earned themselves a moment in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons.
At thedailyprick.com, we highlight individuals, organisations, celebrities, politicians, companies, and occasional entire institutions who have done something spectacularly stupid, deeply annoying, or trend-worthy in the least flattering way possible. We could call them dicks, but we’re riding with pricks, which is just as unflattering.
How does thou get added to the pricklist?
Being named a prick is not a scientific diagnosis, a legal finding, or a permanent character judgment. It is a title awarded to someone who has recently managed to do one or more of the following:
- Do something very stupid: a decision so baffling that the public deserves an explanation.
- Be exceptionally bothering: through arrogance, hypocrisy, relentless self-promotion, unnecessary drama, or simply refusing to log off.
- Trend for the wrong reasons: when the internet turns on someone, not necessarily because they are evil, but because they have made themselves impossible to ignore.
A prick might be a billionaire who says something wildly out of touch, a public figure caught in an embarrassing contradiction, a company that has somehow made a simple product worse, or a group that has collectively decided to ruin everyone’s week.
This Is Not a Verdict
This is the important part: being featured on The Daily Prick does not mean someone is a terrible person.
People make mistakes. People say ridiculous things. People have bad weeks, bad months, and occasionally spectacularly bad years. Our coverage focuses on public behaviour, public statements, and public moments — not a final judgment on anyone’s character, worth, or life.
We are not claiming anyone is beyond redemption. Many pricks are only one sensible apology, one good decision, or one period of quiet reflection away from being removed from the list.
The title is temporary. The internet, unfortunately, is not.
Vote: Yay or Nay
Every featured Prick can be put to the public vote.
Readers can choose:
- Yay – yes, this person or group has absolutely earned prick status.
- Nay – no, they have been unfairly nominated, misunderstood, or are simply having a rough time.
The vote is not a court of law. It is more like a very large group chat with opinions. But it gives readers a say in whether a nomination deserves to stand.
Nominate a Prick
Think someone belongs on the site? You can nominate them.
You can also go one step further and write your own summary explaining why they deserve consideration. The best nominations are specific, entertaining, and focused on something the person or group has actually said or done in public.
We welcome nominations for:
- Public figures and celebrities
- Politicians and commentators
- Companies and brands
- Sports organisations and officials
- Influencers, tech bros, and people who describe themselves as “visionaries”
- Groups, committees, institutions, and anyone else capable of collective embarrassment
Our Promise
We will keep the focus on behaviour rather than cruelty, and we will always remind readers that a prick title is an opinion, not a life sentence.
The Daily Prick exists because the world regularly produces people who deserve a public roasting. We are simply here to provide the venue, the vote, and the occasional unnecessary headline.
Because sometimes, someone does something so foolish that there is only one appropriate response:
Prick.
